Embedded in magnificent mountain scenery - in historical sites and outdoors - the 45th Innsbruck Early Music Festival will take place in Tyrol's capital from 13 July to 29 August under the leitmotif "Perspectives". After challenging months, it is time to realign sensory perception and perspectives. Pasquini's opera "Idalma" will be performed, as will Telemann's "Pastorelle en musique" and Mattheson's "Boris Goudenow". The concert programme offers a foray into the music of the 16th century. Jakub Józef Orliński, Valer Sabadus, Concerto Copenhagen & Lars Ulrik Mortensen, I Barocchisti & Diego Fasolis, Ensemble 1700 with Dorothee Oberlinger and many more will be performing on stage. At the Ambras Castle Concerts, Concerto Scirocco will take the audience back to a time when witches, elves and other ghostly creatures populated people's theatre stages, books and fantasies, Ensemble Agamemnon will reinterpret the Ambras "Wunderkammer" into music and Tasto Solo will explore the relationship between "sense and sensuality". A varied programme with free admission will also be offered. A multitude of sounds, emotions and encounters invites you to discover new perspectives! The traditional crowning finale is the final concert of the 12th Cesti Competition.
